Where are downloads on my desktop Mac?
There used to be an icon in my bottom tray, next to Documents, for Downloads. It has disappeared and I don't know where to find downloads.

Go to Finder Menu > Go and click on Home. Form that folder drag the Downloads folder to the right of the divider bar on your Dock.
