Lost My New Apple Watch 3 While Surfing

I'm pretty ****** off as my l new Apple Watch 3 was lost while surfing. I absolutely loved the watch and was using a great surf app to track my waves when about the 7th time I used it, the watch was gone. It was after my first wave and was not very big or powerful... in fact, my wetsuit was covering the watch as well! Surfing is an acceptable use for this watch... there are ads for the 3 showing people surfing and there is an Apple app for surfing as well.

I've seen other posts where people have lost their Apple Watch surfing so I believe there is a flaw in either the band or the posts that hold the band to the watch. If there is no flaw then why are the watches being lost??

Any comments from others that lost their watches surfing?

Polls are not permitted. If you were using a sports band with the single spoke and your wrist is big enough that you can tuck the extra band in then that is probably how it came off. You might want to look at an older nylon band with a clasp or the sports loop.
