My iPhone won''t Connect to Wi-Fi

My phone (7 Plus) was fine this morning, but now won't connect to wi-fi. I have tried everything I can think of. Went to the Boost office (my new carrier after Virgin Mobile) and he couldn't get it fixed. I should be able to use cell service, but some of the programs and apps won't open and say No Connection, etc...... My home wifi is fine. All of our other devices work just fine. Any ideas on what I can try?

Thanks!

It sounds like the issue is VPN. Tell us more about it. Why are you using it? Is it optional in your situation? If so, can you connect with it turned off?

Thank you for your quick response. I had already done #1 through 6. There is a checkmark next to the name of my wifi, no warning messages about connections. It all looks good. VPN is still trying to connect, so far unsuccessfully, and the little ball in the top left corner is still spinning with no wifi symbol, only LTE. So I did the Network Reset and signed in to my wifi account again. Still no change from before.

I can't believe that worked! I deleted VPN and wifi came on immediately.

I was using it because I was having a lot of breaches with my debit/credit cards and thought VPN might help. But it is weird because I have had it since I got this phone in November and had no problems until yesterday. I also have it on my iMac and iPod, so far with no problems there. So can you explain to me why I should or should not be using VPN or any other security measure ? When I run my iMac scans I never have more than a couple of Malware that they say are not malicious. So maybe I don't even need it? Or is there a better one for Mac?

Thank you for your help and information.
