After upgrading to MAC OS Catalina 10.15.3 safari is Not opening at all . all web page are black screen and then it freezes.

restart is not doing any difference

Quit to Safari is also not working

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.15

Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?


Try setting up another admin user account in System Preferences/Users & Groups to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

Hello Eric,


thanks for your response

I tried all the methods listed above , but it did not work except safe mode.


It works only on safe mode , but then on safe mode the audio does not work . say i am playing you tube then audio will not be there.


Safe mode will be auto changed to normal mode in sometime even if i will not logout from safe mode.


So what happens exactly is

if i will type gmail.com on web .

web page will take long time to open

then it will be all black

then if some content is showing it will be bits and pieces

then u click on some where on web page it will freeze whole system


not sure what to do

Y is apple not providing fix for it when its a known issue in IOS - really bad

You are welcome. Not everything works normally in the Safe Mode. It may not help, but try running/posting the Etrecheck report in your normal account.
