Loading Google Hangouts Meet on new ipad Pro

I can't do it! "Confirm with button" does nothing... there is a "double-click to install" message flashing in the upper left, but nothing to double-click. I confess, I am new to ipad, but I've been able to install every other app I've tried. Is it because I don't have a gmail email? Thanks for any help!!!!!!
