I want to keep my hard drive encrypted. Right now, my 2012 Mac Pro is decrypting my Startup SSD. It looks like this will take about one day. In order to speed up this process and lower risk I have quit all other programs.

I read elsewhere online that I should not interrupt this. How do I get things back the way they were?

Let it decrypt the drive. It is time consuming for sure.

Meanwhile you can use the computer
