I am on Catalina 10.15.3, and I'm trying to add downloaded podcasts that I copied from elsewhere to the new Podcasts.app, and then sync them to my iPod Classic. But I can't find any import button. How to add podcast to Podcast.app then? Is there any way to do it just like how to add music to Music.app?

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that you are having some issues adding files to the all new Podcast app in macOS Catalina.
Are the files you're trying to import ones which you downloaded from the iTunes Store or from another source? If these are .mp3 files, they will not be added to the Podcast app, but you can add them to the Music App. If you are downloading them from another source, check to see if they offer an Apple Podcast version.

The files are downloaded from another source.
And here is what I did.
I closed my MacBook and opened my Windows computer and downloaded iTunes there. And then I imported all my podcasts into it and I could change the fire type to podcast. Then they were perfectly imported. However on macOS Catalina if I import these podcasts to Music.app, there is only one option for the file type -- music. I think on Mojava, when the iTunes was not divided into three different apps, I could change fire type, too.

I happen to have macOS Mojave on my MacBook Air, and you're correct, you can make changes to the file types there.
