General and ongoing cleaning can help you maintain your AirPods or AirPods Pro.

AirPods Crackling only when noise cancelling or transparency are turned on.

Hi, I have had my AirPods pro for 6 months and now the left earphone began crackling when noice cancelling or transparency are turned on.

No such issue when they are off.

The crackling happens when I move my head or when I raise my voice.

Uncoupling and re-coupling, even upon full resetting the AirPods in their case, did not resolve the issue.

it is clearly a software issue.+do you know if this can be fixed?

i saw a few users getting their pods replaced to no avail.

thx all

Hello,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! I understand you're having trouble with your AirPods. I'm happy to assist you with this.

Looks like you've done some great troubleshooting steps. Let's try using the AirPods with a different device to see if the same thing happens. Also, make sure all other apps are closed and test with the Apple Music app to help isolate the cause of this issue. If the issue persists, contact Apple Support: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

Best Regards.
