How to add a person to a text thread.

How do you add a person to an established text thread? What happened to the + Add Contact button?

Thanks for reaching back out to me. Let me provide the direct steps for you to add a contact to a thread.

Tap on the message thread.
Tap "info" at the top of the phone.
Tap "+Add Contact".

Hi Chris_g1 ,

the response does not address the missing [+ Add Contact ] button and so your solution does not work which says to use the Add Contact button. There are threads pertaining to this way back to 2018. Please just let us know if the Add Contact button/feature exists today on iPhones in 3/18/2020.

Thank you i_rina. I repeat there is NO +ADD CONTACT button/feature on this iPhone X, iOS 13.3.1 today 3/18/2020. Similar threads pertaining to this issue going back to 2018 also attest to this. My original question asks and has not been addressed, “What happened to the +Add Contact button.”

Does this feature exist or has everyone just given up on Apple since the 2018 thread that reported it missing?

Also the only choices I am given to respond is: [Correct Answer] or [Helpful Answer] for email or [Helpfull] or [Solved] for this chat thread.

Welcome back danion,

I'm happy to continue working with you on this. You can’t add or remove people from group MMS messages or group SMS messages. It has to be a iMessage group thread in order for you to add another iMessage user. This information is stated in the article I previously provided. Try creating an iMessage group and adding another iPhone user to test this out.
