I do a bit of radio and some DJ work, I’m looking to create my own jingles and mash ups , is Logic Pro X the best app to use to do this please?

It is very difficult to answer that kind of question. There is no such thing as a best application. It all depends on how you work. Logic is very good at MIDI and musical composition work. Also good as an overall DAW. It is the best deal in that domain in my opinion.
My suggestion is to try GarageBand first. If you like it then I think you will like Logic. Expect a learning curve. Logic is deep.
