Hi, my phone started to say can not verify identity on one of my emails, I tried all the answers from google and nothing worked, and as it’s an email I rarely use I just thought I’d delete it, but even after deleting and powering on and off I’m still getting the same message, and it freezes my phone till I click it, please does anyone have an answer. Thank you.

What happens when you click the "Details" on the error popup message (See the Pic below)
Changing SSL settings
Settings > Password & Accounts > [Select the Mail account} > [Tape on Account with the email ID} > Advanced > SSL Settings > [Disable]
Click <Account (in Blue)
Click on DONE (in Blue) when exiting in the previous screen
If it is gmail account try disabling SSL certificate or install this certificate (Downloaded from https://www.globalsign.com/en) and try
That’s what comes up when I click details! Very strange, and I tried to turn off the ssl, when that didn’t work I just deleted the email account from my phone but the weird thing is it’s still coming up. So the email account is now deleted yet I’m still being told I can’t connect to the server!
Also it was a gmail account,
