I have sorted my e-mail (the second column of the mail app) on date, newest at top.
Somehow, the sort order of conversations (the third column of the mail app) are sorted from oldest to newest. This was not the case, somehow I reversed the sort order for conversations only in the third column by accident, but I cannot turn it around.
How to order conversations in the third column? (not the second, there it is newest to oldest)
Thank you! For other people with the same problem, it is not that obvious: Preferences of Mail, Tab 'Display' ('Weergave' in Dutch), the last option at the bottom: 'Set newest message at the top' ('Plaats nieuwste bericht bovenaan' in Dutch).

I don't use the column view, so not sure if this affects it, but there are settings for conversations in the Viewing tab of preferences. One setting is the order of messages in the conversation.
