10.7 Lion Recovery USB Key Requires Apple ID To Reinstall

I have a MacBook 4,1 that I use as a backup. I upgraded the HDD from a 120 GB hard disk to a 640 GB one. I made a Lion Recovery Disk with the Lion / Mountain Lion tool from Apple. I installed the drive, and powered it on using “OPTION”, it detected my recovery media & my hard disk. I wiped it (it’s recycled from an old Windows laptop of mine) and it worked fine until I was required to connect to WiFi. I did so, and restarted the install process. Now, it requires me to “verify my computer’s eligibility.” I press continue, and it requires me to put in my Apple ID. This fails every single time. I know my password is correct. What should I do?

Hello,

This sounds like it is related to Two-Factor Authentication. You will need to generate a secure code from another device and type it after your password. Example: password123456
