Unable to open Steam

Whenever I try to open the 64 bit Steam application, the Steam logo appears on the Dock for a split second then disappears. It keeps crashing within a second or so. I have tried deleting and reinstalling steam multiple times and the same issue continues to reoccur.

Please could someone assist me with this issue?

Many thanks,

Nick

Are you on the latest OS X update? And if so, maybe just try reinstalling steam once more. First force-quit steam. Then go to finder > Apps > Steam and drag it to your bin. Now erase your bin. Restart your Mac. Download the latest steam installer: https://store.steampowered.com/about/ . Open it and follow the instructions.

If this still doesn't solve your problem I suggest you try the steam community. (Or maybe a full macOS reinstall, but that is a very painful process) Let me know!

I honestly can't think of any other solution for you. Maybe other community's can help you further. But if you do consider reinstalling macOS. It can be done by holding command-r on boot. Then you can reinstall macOS. (more information here: https://support.apple.com/nl-nl/guide/mac-help/mchlp1599/mac ) But I hope someone else can help you further. If you somehow fixed it or found a solution, please let me know. Good luck
