Where to find the exact version of Mail App?

The reason I am trying to find out what version is installed is because of some issues happening when someone who sends and formats things using email installed on a totally different OS than iOS, such as Microsoft Windows, some things are replaced or removed or functions don’t work properly.

At least one person I write to I found out what they use, they use more than one Operating System. They use iOS on their phone & on their Laptop, they have Windows. They write to me using Windows because it’s easier than typing using the phone.

This is one of the things I keep reading about.

"You can change the format of a message when you reply to it or forward it. If someone sends you a plain text message, for example, you can reply to that message or forward it by using HTML or Rich Text Format. How the message appears to the person receiving it depends on their email program. If the recipient's email program is set to convert messages, for example, then a message you send formatted as HTML could be converted to plain text."

Thank you very much for all help,

Amy

The preinstalled apps on an iPhone are updated when the iOS software is updated. Apple does not list version numbers. If you are running the latest iOS version, all of the built in apps are running the most recent versions.

Can you save HTML files? Sure.

Will those HTML files render consistently and exactly as you intend, on any device, for any user? No.

As for who has been accessing your device, or what they might have been doing, nobody here knows.

For backing up files or sharing or saving files, that can be local to the iPad, or can involve iCloud and the Files app, or other hosting providers. Local storage works fine until the device is no longer available and for whatever reason. Then you either need a local backup, or have the data stored in iCloud or elsewhere.

If you should have questions about your assignments, you’ll want to address those with your instructors.

Zilch means “nothing”. You can look up “zilch” or any other word in the provided online dictionary. On an iPad, select the word, and then pick “Look Up” from the pop-up menu. I’ve included an image showing the word selected, and circled the Look Up entry in the pop-up menu.

Where would we find a list of the versions?

Are they listed somewhere in the App store or in the Apps?

Here is how he replied to my email when asking, it has basic functions, but it does not say anything about versions.

You can add punctuation

letters of the alphabet

numbers

Should I ask what fonts they are using to type it in originally, since we have run into that problem in the past & sometimes now.

Whenever I try to write to some people it changes some characters and then causes errors on their end.

"My friend gave me an old laptop computer that provides basic functions and it is also connected to the wi-fi. That way it is easier to check websites vs. doing it on my phone. It is also easier to type up email on the computer vs. doing it on the phone."

When we tried to get help from our internet provider, about an iPad running the latest iOS versions, someone replied saying models of an iPhone that things are not compatible with those versions.

We also managed to talk to someone on the phone & were asking what version of the Mail app we use on the iPad.

If we go to where we can delete all of the apps including the preinstalled apps, the Mail app is in the list to delete.

Since I have had to take online classes, some of the files we attach & email to the teacher are html

I also have problems with seeing things too, so I use bold & italics for things I send

Pretyped documents when using bold, italics, underlines, any of those formatting & anything else to your preferred reading size sometimes inserts characters around things & causes things to sometimes be even more difficult to determine when exactly certain characters begin & end

Do the apps Apple designed not adjust to your preferred reading size?

Do I need to insert quotation marks or any other punctuation around my names

email address

Sometimes my email address shows up with " " around it & sometimes < >

Whenever I use Bold & then copy & paste what took a long time to figure out how to word things, it inserts greater than & less than brackets < >

around a lower case letter b

I have short term memory problem & so many other handicaps is why I have handicap settings features setup as well as automatic features

If you want control over the presentation of the contents, you absolutely must use suitable tools.

HTML is not a suitable tool.

Want that control?

Use PDF.

Your control over the rendering with HTML is approximately zilch.

What with different or missing fonts, different settings, users with different requirements for vision or access, or simply differing visual preferences.

Sorry, if I don’t understand some of the vocabulary terms such as Zilch. I have some learning disabilities.

I do not understand why the classes which we were taking & saving files as html

& other file extensions were working properly prior to updates or any other repair work.

It says on my iPad & the previous ones we have had when we set it up for the 1st time, apps which support Dynamic Type

will adjust to your preferred reading size. We can only use the tools that came with the device.

One of the problems we keep running into is hacking & stuff like that. We have been on the phone with customer support several times too.

When you get things saying your information is invalid is why we have lost very hard work & important files over the years.

the stress makes me sicker and affects my health.

Why do they say my birthday is wrong when it’s not & other security questions. Is this happening when the techs work on your devices & clear certain things out & then set things up for their preferred reading size.

If the class assignment requires the fonts to be bold, times new roman,

& you apply something different you will lose points on your assignments. Some of those emails are still coming back through on every new device we get. So trying to install updates for those apps used to do the homework.

The repairmen we have used over the years are not taking the classes

Since most things also involve 3rd party apps & other personal information which some of that we no longer have anymore it, some of that is due to the previous device being sent back. When we login it shows an area that says Not On This iPad.

The emails sent back & forth includes our correct contact information. If I am writing a long letter to someone & need to edit it later, some of those functions don’t seem to work properly. Some things say to contact the administrator. We tried to ask Bellsouth or At&T since they are our internet provider who that would be. They seemed just as confused as we were about who that would be. Is why they were thinking since it is Apple & an iPad, then is someone at Apple the Administrator?

The other day we just talked with someone again & when they did screen share some weird things started happening that they were asking about. There were Red Arrows coming up when I was trying to show them where on the device I was looking. I had to get off though due to my health issues, but not sure how to answer their question about what is causing the Red Arrows to appear.

If the name of the App is called Apple Store, then the Arrow would show up next to the list of apps.

Here is how it would show up pointing in that direction the emoji I have there, is about the only way I can think of to describe the arrow. Greater than less than symbols are used for some things. Math & formulas. Most of my homework was for those type of classes. Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Notepad, Wordpad, apps like that.

Testing to see what exactly happens. I am using my new HP Laptop with line Windows Operating System.

It looks like God answered my prayers and caused my iPad to fail as the previous one did, a charging issue.

The problem was due to a loose charging port.

Would like to solve most problems online so they don't have to pay their money to replace the device.

It was under warranty so they sent a 6th Generation, 9.7" retina display.

I understand it means nothing, but you put quotation marks around it.

If enter the words including quotation marks, it will not find it properly. Whenever we type in a search for locally, that is the other problem. Locally seems to come up with information about businesses nearby instead of where exactly the files you backed up will be or how to remove things you don't want and disable things, uninstall apps you don't want either and setting things up properly on the new device.
