I followed all steps from apple but I did not have success in updating my mac OS X 10.9.5 to macOS Catalina. I´ve tried both ways: on computer (image below, no updatings) or making the download of macOS Catalina and it did not work.
Can you help me?

Some Users have found they have to install El Capitan as an intermediate step. We know the Mac App Store undergoes dramatic changes in El Capitan, so it may be worth trying that way if you are not succeeding in jumping directly to Catalina.

You should not be running a third-party Anti-Virus on your already well-protected Macintosh computer. That could be why the upgrade fails.
Try restarting into Safe mode (hold shift at startup and wait an extra five minutes while it does a disk repair). Then do the upgrade while still in Safe Mode.

Not all MacBook Pros can run Catalina. To make sure you've correctly identified you MacBook Pro sub-model, please do "About the Mac" form your Apple menu and tell us what the window shows for your sub-model, the part with a date and Early, Mid or Late. Please see:
I don’t understand the language of your screenshot (Portuguese perhaps? Or maybe something else?), so I can’t really help further without a lot of additional information. Further, I don’t understand the screenshot’s context. Did you, for example, follow the link embedded in the above article to obtain Catalina from the App Store?

Be sure you use the App Store to obtain Catalina. It is not an update. It is an upgrade.

I installed El Capitan and it worked all very good. I will stay now with this and latter (other day) I will install Catalina.

I have same trouble and did the same thing: install OSSierra successfully. However when I restart, my Mac still showed the system is OSX 10.9.5 as if I have never installed newer version?
If it still says 10.9.5, then you have failed to install the new version.
If the upgrade encounters problems, it will not proceed, leaving your original MacOS unchanged.
