Thanks for helping. I am aware of that but whenever I used the sketch button, my writings are converted to shapes which are not what I wanted.
I do not believe that the purpose of the Preview sketch tool is to capture cursive writing input as annotation content.
Prior to Catalina, Apple had its dynamic Ink technology which would capture cursive writing, or transform cursive into typed content. It detected that a digitizer tablet device was connected, and the Ink Preference pane would be added, where Ink's behavior could be adjusted. I don't recall if it worked with Preview, but did with Word and Pages.
