About the screens on your Mac as it starts up - Apple Support
This may be an indication that your startup drive has failed. If it can't find a startup drive, it tries to boot into Recovery. If it can't boot into Recovery, it tries Internet Recovery.
Try resetting NVRAM to see if that can get it to recognize the startup disk, again: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
