Can’t renew my iCloud Storage plan

I’m locked out of my iCloud.com email ( both send and receive) account probably bcos my 50 GB iCloud storage plan expired and my account downgraded to the free 5 GB storage plan.


However I cannot renew my subscription, following the instructions:


Follow the instructions below to update your billing information:

1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.

2. Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in.

3. Tap Manage Payments (if you are using an older version of iOS, tap Payment Information) and follow the prompts.


I’m stuck at Step 2 after I tap View ID.

i was not asked to sign in and there is no “Manage Payments” or “Payment Information” tap


pls help 🙏

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. From my understanding, you're unable to update your Apple ID payment method in order to upgrade your iCloud storage, and I'd like to share some information with you.


For this concern, I recommend taking a look at this resource:

If you can't remove your last payment method or use no payment method with your Apple ID


If those steps don't apply, try updating your payment method from another device:

Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods

Buy more iCloud storage
