Itunes Default File location

Running on Windows 10 Itunes version 12.10.4.2.

My C drive is full, so my user\music\itunes I do not want to locate files there.

In Itune - edit- preferences - advanced - Itunes media folder location. I change to my E drive:\music.

When I close Itunes and later open Itunes, cannot see my music as Itunes has gone back to the C Drive \user\music\itunes.

How to stop Itunes from going back to C drive. It keep defaulting to the C Drive, and then it shows my purchases again and again.

Solutions??

I wonder if this is a recent iTunes version problem? I had been having Windows 10 issues and re-installed it twice. After each installation, I re-installed iTunes. Mine had been set up to go D:\Music\ (and I'd never had issues with using that before). The new iTunes installations kept going back to C:\.... I have reverted to the default C:\Users\xxxxx\Music\iTunes\iTunesMedia\ to keep iTunes happy.
