Question

I can't send pictures over iMessage from my iMac anymore.

Just recently, I can't seem to send pictures over iMessage from my iMac anymore. I would right click on a JPG in Finder and share in messages, but I can't now.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?

Try saving or copying them to your Documents folder for a test send.

Yes, but it still doesn't send it. It hangs up in iMessage. I used to just right click on the JPG and click share, then message, then type the persons name and send. No issues. Now it's frustrating.

I am editing pictures from, and saving them to an SD card plugged into the SD card slot. When I boot up in safe mode the SD card slot does not work, so I cannot test this.
