I've typed in gold and silver and I get all sorts of results but none of them seem to be what i want which is just the scrap price.
Maybe a better question is what do i type in to the app to see the scrap price?

Since they're not publicly traded securities, the Stocks app isn't useful for commodities. Try using one of the Kitco iOS apps such as Scrapit or Gold Live!
