Not sure what you mean by a black box however I think you meant whether the iPhone Xs MAX is produced in the color black.

The stainless steel and glass iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max will come in silver, space gray, and a new polished gold color. The Space Gray color may look like black however it is not jet black.

Thanks for the clarification. In my experience, I have not seen a black box that delivered an iPhone XS Max in Silver, Gold or Space Gray. Please see this ➔ YouTube Video to confirm.
