what restrictions do i need to change in settings to be able to watch movies on apple tv (image available)
I am also unable to try and pay to watch the same film on iTunes?
all software and apps are up to date and no restrictions placed by work

Thank you again, unfortunately I’ve tried this and still not luck the same message appears, I’ve even managed to purchase and download the movie onto my iPhone and the acccounts are linked so is showing on my Apple TV app but won’t let it play due to the same message appearing each time about restrictions
Hi thanks for replying. I am trying to watch a downloaded movie on my iPad using the Apple TV app but each time I try the message “to watch this, change your restrictions in setttings” comes up. But I have checked my settings and unaware of any restrictions in place?
Look in Settings->Screen Time->Content & Privacy Restrictions->Content Restrictions->Movies and make sure its set to at least as high a level as the rating for the movie you want to watch.
In general, Allow all is the best option if you have no issues with R or NC-17 rated films

Which application are you trying to use on your Apple TV?
So what is set for restrictions? Are movies set to Allow all?
Restrictions are device specific. just because the devices are signed in to the same Apple Id does not mean they share restrictions.
