Hi Jakebickel,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that your iPhone XR is making a weird noise. I can see how this could be concerning. I'm happy to help.

If you haven't already, check your sound and notification settings to see if the sound is possibly coming from an app or notification.

Change iPhone sounds and vibrations

Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

You can also force apps to close to one at a time to help identify any apps that might be causing this problem. If the issue persists, restart your iPhone. Restarting can resolve many unexpected behaviors.

Jakebickel,

Thank you for trying the suggested steps and following up. We recommend reinstalling iOS with a computer. This step can resolve possible software issues by removing your current software and installing a fresh version. While your computer will try to reinstall the software without erasing your data, it's definitely a good idea to make sure that your content is backed up prior to trying this step.
