Locked Apple id

I received an email stating that my Apple ID had been locked and if I didn’t verify the account within 24 hrs it would be disabled. Can you verify that this is not a scam.

You are seeing most likely is an attempted scam.

Did you provide any potentially damaging information to anyone? If yes, you'll need to follow up, for example, with a credit card company, Apple, your bank, etc.
