Deggie if you have no feelings either way, why is you have to comment on it? You are amazing, but ever since people have been reporting their problems with Apple you have always stepped in with some remark criticizing them one way or another. Well I do get a good laugh from reading your comments.....

It’s still going on after two months. The iPhone 11 Pro has got a bit better to the point that my fully charged iPhone in the morning lasts almost the whole day (with very little use), but a 40% charged phone at 11 in the evening is fully empty at 6 the next morning. Is it sending all my stuff somewhere at night? I’ve all apps closed, Siri is not even activated. What’s going on, Apple. There is absolutely NOT A SONGLE WORD BY APPLE about this! And this with it having reached the news, print media and general internet. THIS IS SO LAME and I just hope for some CLASS ACTION AGAINST APPLE, PLEASE!!!!

Yup, exactly the same here. 13.4.1 started it, 13.5 didn't fix it, and 13.5.1 didn't fix it.

It's a ten-month-old XS Max. It is in superb condition. I had no battery issues with it before the installation of 13.4.1.

Going Friday to Apple Store and demanding a new battery under warranty. If they refuse, I'm going to get a 5G data plan and a different phone.

This whole situation is a joke, you’re right.

I always have an extra battery on me in case I have like a long day out… Maybe drinking or something like that. But now literally this extra battery is essential for me to even be able to use my phone during the day. I will see what happens on Friday and see if they give me a new battery or not.

I deeply share your frustration because although 13.5(not allowed to say what version) fixed my phone I still had the problem for over a year after moving to ios13 but I really don't see how replacing the battery is going to fix your issue unless your battery health is showing a considerable drop in 10 months.

You can ask the drones at the store about the massive problem affecting so so many users but they will almost certainly say that they have never heard of it & give you some excuse or other.

Anyway good luck & I really hope they manage to fix your pocket warmer.

Nvm to this thing. LTE and VoLTE have nothing to do with it.

Apple has essentially bricked our new devices with the last 4 bugged updates and no acknowledgement nor responsibility has been taken. They’ve even shortened the change logs to describe little to nothing about what was actually changed. 13.5.1 only patches a “security bug” which is related to how iPhones are jailbroken currently.

as usual, they are more worried about people

jailbreaking their phones (Which I haven’t done since I was 13 years old) than actually solving issues with the software.

I’m about 24 hours away from being done.

mods — patch notes describe the security hole and it’s common knowledge that it was used in the jailbreaking community. Not against TOS. Have a good one

I’ve had 13.5.1 update for a while now but my iPhone 11 Pro’s battery life feels like my iPhone 5S before I upgraded. Just talking for 30mins on the phone wipes 15% battery off of a fresh 100% charge. I don’t use the phone as much because of social distancing and being near a desktop computer all the time. My iPhone is only about 6 months old from the Apple store.

Now I have 5G, giant 5,000 mAh battery, and an AMOLED bigger than my face where I can watch YouTube in 1440p (never will be possible on iPhone as Apple does not support the video decoding that YouTube uses even though they forced Google to re-encode every YouTube video on the platform into H.264 when the original iPhone was launched with YouTube preinstalled but that's beside the point).

You have a good point. And BTW, shot down complitely should run it indefinitely. Until you start, and maybe by then we will have iOS 20.5.5, which solves the battery issue. That is also a joke. But I heard that iOS 14 beta, does not solve the battery issue.

Another solution is buying an external battery-protective case. I used to use for iPhone 7s, because the battery was not that great. And I was very happy getting iPhone 11, because it had a great battery and I did not need the external power. Apperently the software update affected the battery performance.

I always put my iPhone in airplane mode at night and sometimes watch downloadable movies in bedroom environment. I have done it for years. I don't do it to save batteries, I do it because I don't want any SMS or phone calls in the middle of the night, plus it has almost no RF radiation.

So maybe iOS starting13.4 does require more resources and its much more complicated software that was designed for later iPhone models, with larger capacity batteries.
