Apple Pay Cash

I do not have a debit card and would like to add cash to my cash card balance, in Wallet, from my checking account.Again, I do NOT have a debit card. I would be willing to withdraw cash but cannot find how to ad real paper money to Pay Cash either. I attempted to link a Vanilla prepaid card but that was rejected because the issuing bank doesn’t have an ApplePay relationship or some such nonsense.
