Apple has automatically allotted my wife's mobile number to my FaceTime settings on iPad Pro and I cannot use FaceTime for my own mobile. How can I edit the mobile number in the settings please/

You can sign up for an Apple ID at appleid.apple.com. You would then sign her out of the existing Apple ID in Settings > [your name]. You would then sign her devices in with the newly created Apple ID. You can then setup Family Sharing which will allow her to still access any iTunes Store, App Store, Book Store, purchases.

Do you both share an Apple ID between you and your wife’s device? If so then it is highly recommended that you don’t share an Apple ID between multiple people’s devices. An Apple ID should equal 1 person’s device(s).

This can be a somewhat tedious process however it will be worth it in the long run as your phone number will be associated with your Apple ID and her phone number will be associated with her Apple ID.
