No, they aren't helping you, why should they? They were asking for help with their problem so why do you think they would be able to help you with yours? And you haven't given enough information for anyone here (this is a user-to-user technical support site operated by Apple) to possibly help you. So instead of hijacking this thread why no post your own and include which model iPhone you have, what iOS version you are currently using, what problem you are having updating and any error messages you get.

Try a restore using computer iTunes.

Do you have a backup? Then restore from it.
