MacBook keeps disconnecting from Android hotspot

Hello all,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 which I often use as a router to share its internet connection with all my devices.

However, when it comes to my MacBook, it would connect to the hotspot for litterally 5 seconds and then disconnect. In the meantime other devices, such as my iPad pro and iMac are keeping the connection with the Samsung Galaxy hotspot with no problems.

I'm not sure what's causing the problem. I try to restart the Mac, to turn on and off the WiFi on both devices, to cancel the network from my Mac and then register to it again but it doesn't solve the problem (and if it did, it's kinda a long process to solve a connection issue).

Eventually the MacBook will pick up the connection again and keep connected, but it seems so random that I'm not sure what's triggering it to keep connected.

Just so you know my phone carrier allows for unlimited thatering and I have an unlimited plan.

Anyone know what might be causing the problem? It's really frustrating and I end up staying without connection for minutes and minutes (sometimes even 30+ minutes). I've tried looking around on Google but couldn't find a definitive answer. Not sure if it's software, or hardware, if it's the mobile fault or the macbook fault. Any help on this would be appreciated.
