Full screen contact photos

I have tried EVERYTHING since the update to make my contact pictures full screen again and it’s not working!! Any pictures I had saved to contacts before the update are still full screen but any after are not. Can someone advise on how to fix this!? I miss having full screen pictures!!!

Hello Murph1223,

It sounds like photos saved to contacts after updating your iOS version aren't appearing fullscreen with incoming calls. I'm happy to help you get this resolved.

Are you adding photos to your contacts directly in the Contacts app, or are you doing it another way? If you haven't done so already, try adding a photo to a contact using the Contacts app as described here: Edit contacts on iPhone. The photo you choose must already be in the Photos app or be taken at the time you are adding it to the contact. Keep in mind that the size of the image when you receive a call will depend on on the size and resolution of the image in the Contacts app. Photos that are relatively large and high resolution should show full screen during the call. Photos that are either taken with zoom in the Camera, zoomed when selecting the portion of the image to show for the contact or from a Contact server such as iCloud may appear in a circle rather than being fullscreen.

Take care.

Photo you assign to contact card is cached by server and synced back to your device. Not all over the air accounts have the same contact card picture size allowance. What account do you sync contacts with? Try to use iCloud and use photo from the Camera Roll, so one you took using Camera app on your iPhone.
