Try Using "Force Quit":

To Access Force Quit:

  1. Go To: the Apple menu
  2. Select: Force Quit...
  3. Select: the Item
  4. Click: the Force Quit button
  5. Confirm: to Force Quit

Perform Force Quit in this Order:

  1. All open app that end with: (not responding)
  2. All open apps that pertain to FaceTime
  3. All open apps

Try accessing FaceTime once more.

If that is of no success.... Try Resetting the SMC and NVRAM:

Sometimes operations are performed and then the displaysettings become manipulated, technically. So... Try resetting the SMC and NVRAM. Then try accessing FaceTime once more.
