Unable to restore an app from the App Store, WPS Office

I was using WPS office and iPad OS has offloaded the app since i hadn't used it for awhile. But when i tried to restore the app i get the error message "The app is no longer available in the App Store" even though the app is available in the Store. I was able to separately install the app from the App Store but my data from the previous installation remains as a separate entity. How can i recover my data ? I'm currently running iPad OS 13.4

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you are missing from data from an app you had to re-download from the App Store.

The error you saw when trying to download the app, may have been related to a different version of that app no longer being available. Since this is a third-party app, missing content from the app would be best addressed with the app developer. You can see how to contact an app developer here: How to contact an app developer
