Eliminating passcode for my iPad

I do not like using passcode on my iPad. How can I disconnect it?

Hello,

You can disable passcode in Settings > Passcode.

Hello,

You can disable passcode in Settings > Passcode.

I cannot as “turn passcode off” is greyed out and does not respond.
