Apple ID password change passcode glitch

I’m trying to change my password for my apple ID but cannot because whenever i enter my passcode it will bring me back to the same page asking me to enter my passcode again and again. There’s no different message or anything after i enter my passcode it will just reload the page asking me to enter it again.

Enter iPhone-passcode loop when changing Apple-ID settings Recently i wanted to change my Apple-ID password so i went into my Apple-ID profile in settings —> password and security —> change password. And here is when the problem starts. It says ”You can change your password with this iPhone since you are logged in to iCloud and have an activated passcode” So it asks me to enter my passcode but when i do it loads for a few seconds then takes me to a new page as if i passed the passcode entry but the same window apears. Its a loop of the same window apearing every time. (If i type in the wrong passcode it gently shakes and asks me to try again) Same thing happens if i try to change the email account linked to my Apple-ID.

Tried changing passcode couple of time and for some reason it keeps asking again for the old passcode ! Looks like I am in a loop of changing passcode , entering Apple ID , ending with again asking for old passcode.

I want to sign in with my 6-digit passcode instead of my Apple ID password Would like to use 6-digit passcode instead of Apple ID password.

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try a forced restart.

If necessary

Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.

Restore to Factory setting.

Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.

If necessary, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.
