Double/Triple/Quadruple-tap to select

Apple states that in iOS 13:

Select a word: Double-tap the word with one finger.

Select a sentence: Triple-tap the sentence with one finger.

Select a paragraph: Quadruple-tap with one finger.

This has never worked reliably, and has performed differently as we have moved through 13.1,2,3 and 4. It has also performed inconsistently in different apps - in Notes it seemed to work for a while, in Mail it has never worked.

In iOS 13.4, Triple-tap selects a paragraph and there is no option that selects a sentence. Quadruple-tap doesn't work at all. All very poor considering this is functionality iOS had many years ago (like at iOS 6, or something).

Everyone else experiencing the same?

@Scott-land - Yes, I can confirm on both iPad (running iPadOS 13.3.4 and newer) and iOS 13.4.x. Frustrating to see the inconsistency in reliability of this feature...especially when you teach it! After several attempts to resolve this issue with resets, restarts, updates, settings, nothing seems to resolve it. Definitely a bug. #Following.
