Time machine is taking over 10 minutes to load, using Catalina (my nightmare come to life) What do I do?

Please explain what you mean by that. Are you attempting to say that when you open Time Machine it is taking over 10 minutes to load? If that is not what you mean, please tell us, we cannot see what you do or read your mind.
If my guess is correct, please reset the NVRAM and restart in Safe Mode and re- test. Post back with the results after retesting.
