Apple Watch not syncing with Health app

My apple watch (activity) was not connecting to my iPhone so I had to unpair and pair and lost all activity for the day. The health app has recorded my activity, is there any way to sync this information with my watch and close my rings? I have already made sure my apple watch series 3 is connected as a source in the health app.
