I'm using an iPad mini first gen to FaceTime my girlfriend abroad. My iOS is 9.3.5. My girlfriend's using a MacBook Pro 2015 but when she updated to iOS 13.4, FaceTime is not working anymore. It's just stuck in connecting then call failed..
Is there any way to fix this?

No. I don’t think so. FaceTime is an app that works over WiFi. Operating systems shouldn’t matter, but internet connectivity would. I’m assuming that there is something going on with her end that needs to be resolved. Has she tried rebooting her router?
Your girlfriend could not have updated her Mac to iOS 13.4. IOS for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch Devices. That requires further explanation.
Have you tried starting the call from the Mini?
Yes, I did try calling from the mini and vice versa but still stuck in connecting.. Tried calling my brother who uses iOS 13.3 then it worked

Is this because iOS 9.3.5 is not compatible with Catalina 10.15.4 anymore? Thanks for answering!
FYI, technically the current OS for iPads is iPad OS 13.4. It was released the same day as iOS 13.4 and likely a lot of the development is the same, but Apple has given it a new name.
