Keyboard does not appear when Logitech MX Master mouse is paired (Trackpad issue as well) - iPad OS 13.4

After updating to iPad OS 13.4, I was excited to try out the new mouse control. I successfully paired my Logitech MX Master mouse and it works great until I click on any item to input text - the keyboard does not come up, making it impossible to input any text at any time while the mouse it paired.

For example, if I go to Safari and use the mouse to click on the URL field, the cursor will be there blinking, but the keyboard will absolutely not appear. In that instant, if I power the mouse off, the keyboard will instantly appear! This happens in every application.

So, I attempted to pair my original Magic Trackpad (not the Magic Trackpad 2). It also works, and the keyboard DOES show up reliably in every app. However, 2-finger scrolling absolutely does not work, so I am completely unable to navigate up and down any document.

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing any of these behaviors. Any solutions?

So, just a quick update on this - for anyone who might have been experiencing the same issue... GOOD NEWS... sort of.

As I mentioned in the original post, when my Logitech MX Master mouse is paired to my iPad running iPadOS 13.4, the iPadOS keypad does not appear on the iPad in ANY text entering situation. The mouse works fine otherwise.

Today, however, I picked up a Logitech MX Keys keyboard and paired it with the iPad in addition to the MX Master mouse. Naturally, the iOS keyboard will not appear since a Bluetooth keyboard is paired and... The MX Keys keyboard works like a charm! So, it turns out that I can use my MX Master mouse with the iPad as long as I have an external Bluetooth keyboard paired to the iPad as well.

Of course, none of that is ground breaking news. I only wanted to share my experience because, before getting the Bluetooth keyboard, I surmised that text entry was totally "broken" on the iPad running iPadOS 13.4 when the MX Master mouse is paired and no external keyboard is paired. But as I explained above, text input is reliably available with the MX Master mouse paired but ONLY when an external Bluetooth keyboard is paired as well (on iPadOS 13.4).

So, obviously, Apple's mouse driver registers the Logitech mouse as a mouse, but the keyboard driver also registers the mouse, but "thinks" it's a keyboard - which explains why, when the Logi mouse is paired the iPadOS keyboard does not appear. Make sense?

I hope that makes sense and clears things up for anyone who has the same issue. I'm sure Apple will clean it all up in one of the remaining updates of iPadOS 13 or it will be fixed in iPadOS 14.

Cheers!
