Applications won't open after update

I just updated my MacBook to Catalina earlier today. I was playing Sims on the computer yesterday, but the application won't load after the update. Just wondering what needs to be done to avoid uninstalling and reinstalling the app. My other games are still loading correctly. When I click on the icon nothing happens, and won't launch.

App Store not opening after the latest Catalina update on MacBook pro Hi, I just updated my 2012 MacBook Pro to the latest version of Catalina and the App Store won’t open. It just gives the loading beach ball and won’t open when I look at the app in the task bar it shows application not responding. .it was working fine before the update. I have tried everything and nothing works. I have tried to change the date, restart the app and restart the computer. Does anyone know how I can get the App Store working again?

Apps not opening with macOS Big Sur. Since update of macOS Big Sur, Solitaire and Freecell games won't open. ????

is the app you are using a 32-bit app?

32-bit apps are no longer supported by macOS Catalina
