Youtube videos won't play on AppleTV

You must reset aTV with the remote : “Hold down the Menu and Down buttons. Let go when the light on your device flashes”

So I assume your using the Apple TV and the YouTube App on the Apple TV. Try to uninstall the YouTube App and reinstall it. It could be that the YouTube App had an update and the Apple TV YouTube App did not get the needed files.

What version of Apple TV are you using? On Version 1&2 the YouTube app is not made or supported by YouTube. It is a third party app which accesses YouTube content, presumably made by Apple. I am getting the same message, mainly on music videos and I wonder if the app does not support some updated coding being implemented by YouTube.

If they are using a version 1 or 2 device then the Youtube app is a third party app according to YouTube's help page. Presumably this app was developed by Apple. Is it possible that YouTube has updated some of their coding and the app can no longer gain access?

This is a problem with YouTube, not Apple. You will need to reach out to YouTube’s support for assistance with their product.

Sorry but it is not a problem with youtube as streaming works fine on my iPhone and MacBook Air.

The same is true on my Mac. No video including Quicktime. It is an Apple issue.
