If you add someone to an iMessage group chat...

Can they see all previous texts in the thread? Or only texts after they’ve been added? I know this was asked on earlier iOS threads but wasn’t sure if things changed with the most recent iOS. Thanks!

Group texts to Android not working I had an iPhone 11 and transferred everything to a new iPhone 14 Pro. I have a group text with 3 iPhone users and 1 Android user. It was working with the iPhone 11, but when I tried to use an iMessage group text to them, it always said, “Not delivered” and I don’t get any texts from the group anymore (doesn’t show as an error to any of them). I tried all of the online tips of updating, deleting, restarting, checking SMS settings, and resetting network settings. I tried messaging everyone individually and texts all worked, even with the Android user. What can I do? It’s ridiculous!

After update, text is wierd I have my iphone 12 on automatic updates, but for some reason I noticed that there was an available update that didn't happen, so I manually initiated it. It updated from 15.something to 16.something. Right after that, if I text someone, they see the sender info as my Apple username instead of my regular name as usual, so they aren't sure it's me texting them. Also, in a group text chat, I no longer get the group's texts. Do you know what's going on?

It has not changed. They will only see content since they were added to the message thread.
