My MacBook Pro 2012 mid year is stuck on mute.

How can I get the sound back on. I did find the sound buttons F 10 11 and 12 which do not change the mix. There is no option for choosing an internal speaker under Preferences/Sound/Output

No output devices found I can not listen to any sound on Macbook Pro (MacOS Monterey 12.0.1, M1, 2020) with internal speakers. How to uncheck the mute button to see if that is the problem? I can not do it. Otherwise, what else can I do to fix this? It's been almost a year.

Restart your computer.

sometimes these issues are fixed for most people by restarting.
