iTunes running slow on Windows 10 (2020)

I own a ZenBook Duo, Intel i5 10th generation, 8GB of RAM with a 512GB SSD and an Nvidia GeForce MX250. Simple scrolling on iTunes is quite annoying. It doesn't function smoothly at all. There is a delayed response for every input and when I scroll, it stutters. I have an Apple Music subscription and a huge music library that I do not want to lose. Hence I'm using iTunes. I have tries removing genius playlists, but it doesn't do any good. Any help?

Thank you.

Hello shawn0103,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand that iTunes is slow to respond, and I'd like to provide you with some information.

For this concern, consider how iTunes is being used when it's slow to respond. For instance, if you're streaming content from Apple Music, try playing downloaded music, instead. If it's only when streaming content, try connecting to another reliable Internet network, if possible.

Additionally, if this happens when a peripheral such as an external hard drive or iOS device is connected to your computer, test the issue without those devices connected to see if that improves speed.

From there, ensuring that iTunes is fully updated can help keep it compatible with Windows:

Update to the latest version of iTunes

I hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
