Backing up purchased music before subscribing to Apple Music
How do I back up my purchased music library? And when I join Apple Music why doesn't the 'Store' appear anymore (if I decide to actually purchase a song)?

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you have questions about your purchased music and Apple Music. When you use Apple Music but still want to purchase songs, you will do this in the iTunes Store app on your device and your purchased content is automatically added to your Apple Music library, and here are some Apple resources that maybe helpful with your situation:
