internet sharing to iPad over USB stopped working after 10.15.4 update

It works from the "Content Caching" sharing option in Settings instead:

Go to Settings -> Sharing -> Select "Content caching" and enable "Internet Connection" and then enable the "Conent caching" option (which will disable the "Internet Sharing" option).

Works for me on MacBook Pro 2012 and iPhone 5 after restart of iPhone.

Also, be sure your Mac and iPad are running the most up-to-date software.

If you continue to have issues, I recommend taking a look at this article with steps to follow to Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac. This will perform checks and stop certain software from starting up automatically. Once you are in safe mode, test to see if you have the same issue.

Same here, there it is no longer possible to share the internet connection to iPad or iPhone over the USB cable after upgrading to 10.15.4

I tried deleting `/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist ` and `/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist` but it didn't help :(

Same problem here with all my macs, mbp2014, mbp2018, imac2017, after upgrading to 10.15.4. They all can't share internet to all iphone/ipad via usb. But the old imac2011 running 10.13 is still do. I doubt it's something about 10.15.4. Any idea to make this work again?

I downgraded to 10.15.3 and the sharing via USB comes back to work again.

I happen to have a backup for Catalina (10.15) installer. So I reinstall my iMac to 10.15, then download 10.15.3 combo update from apple support download site. After finish updating to 10.15.3, everything seems to work fine.

Same problem her, with an iPhone after installing 10.15.4

It's not a generel sharing problem, it has specifically to do with the update.

Yes, still missing in update 10.15.5

One of my machine, MBP 2013, still not working. But the others, MBP 2018 and iMac 2017, are working now.
