Why the warranty already started before the item had been delivered?

I just purchased an Apple AirPod pro from Apple store online, the item just shipped from China not yet delivered to me and the warranty already started since today. Why? Does anyone know?

As with all items, the warranty will start on the day of purchase.

Yes, it usually coincides with the day your payment is processed.
