Unable to download, update, or re-download existing apps from App Store

Hello: I am unable to download any new apps, re-download existing apps, nor update any of my existing apps from the App Store. I am able to hit the “update” and “download” buttons, but then it stays as the ring of death-circling round and round, until in lags out.

I have already tried logging out and back in, restarting my phone, and downloading apps after logging out. It appears to be an App Store issue.

Any suggestions? I have already reached out to App Support, but waiting 2 days to use apps that need an update during this lockdown...well, it’s not my first choice 🙃

Hello farshnasty,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble downloading and updating apps. I'd be happy to share information that may help.

First, take a look at the steps in this article and give those a try: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services.

You may also want to try connecting to a different network, whether that be a different Wi-Fi network or using cellular data.

Take care.
